“Our Editorial team at TOPMAN is the newest at HQ. I started as an Online Production Assistant, but now I’m taking my career in a more creative direction. Digital’s expanding quickly, so I’ve been given lots of chances to get out of my comfort zone – that’s how I ended up in this role, which I love. Our department’s quite exclusive in the way that there are always new opportunities being created.
I work closely with our Buying Director to discuss our product focuses and pull out creative content for our website. We try to reflect the TOPMAN lifestyle there – the cool guy who’s into his music and loves going to gigs and festivals. It means I’ve got to be really up-to-date with what’s going on, and keep an eye out for new bands and films. I organise interviews with actors and musicians, and we do the photo-shoots for the site in our in-house studio.
I also manage creative briefs, track the features we put live to see what gets the best response, and keep the team up-to-date with all the new projects we’re doing. There’s always so much going on, so I have to make sure everyone knows what’s in the calendar. Keeping people on top of everything is a challenge – but we work really well together and have a lot of fun.”
